When work picks up, finding time to learn a new service or improve your process becomes harder. Training now gives you time to consider what you want to offer, how you’ll perform the work, and how you’ll price it.

The Wizard of Wood’s two-day Exterior Wood Restoration Boot Camp takes place November 6–7, 2026, in Shamong, New Jersey—an opportunity to prepare for next season with classroom instruction and hands-on experience.

Decide What You Want to Offer Next Season

Your next opportunity might be restoring decks for existing pressure-washing customers, expanding into fences and wood siding, or improving the restoration work you already do.

Everett Abrams will cover exterior wood services for decks, fences, log cabins, wood-sided homes, and more. Learn how to assess surfaces and understand the preparation, products, and equipment involved before adding work to your schedule.

Give Your Business a Clearer Process

A stronger season starts with more than finding additional jobs. It also means understanding your costs, planning the work, and setting realistic customer expectations.

The boot camp covers:

Wood inspection and restoration planning
Cleaning, stripping, brightening, sanding, and staining
Professional product and equipment selection
Estimating and developing profitable pricing
Avoiding costly mistakes and unnecessary callbacks
Creating maintenance programs for repeat business

You’ll get to see the techniques demonstrated and practice on our training deck with Everett available to answer questions.

Bring Your Crew into the Plan

If another person on your team handles restoration work, learning together can help you develop a shared understanding of the process.

The first attendee registers for $999, with each additional crew member from the same company attending for $499.

Registration includes lunch both days, a FREE Exterior Wood Restoration Manual, professional company documents and logos, Wizard of Wood support, and an invitation to the private Wizard Nation Facebook group.
