Want to add wood restoration to your services—or make the jobs you already take on more profitable? Join Everett Abrams, the nationally recognized Wizard of Wood, for a two-day Exterior Wood Restoration Boot Camp in Shamong, New Jersey, November 6–7, 2026.

With the 2027 season ahead, this is an opportunity to build your skills, improve your estimating, and prepare to offer customers more.

Practice on Our Training Deck

Your customer’s deck shouldn’t be your practice deck. Work hands-on on our training deck with Everett there to explain the process, demonstrate techniques, and answer your questions.

Learn how to assess exterior wood, choose an appropriate restoration process, and work with professional products and equipment. The class covers services for decks, fences, wood-sided homes, log cabins, and more.

Learn the Work—and How to Price It

A good-looking restoration is only part of a successful job. You also need to understand the preparation, labor, materials, and pricing behind it.

Classroom instruction and live demonstrations will cover:

Inspecting wood and identifying restoration needs
Cleaning, stripping, brightening, sanding, and staining
Selecting and using products and equipment
Avoiding costly mistakes and unnecessary callbacks
Estimating jobs and developing profitable pricing
Building maintenance programs that encourage repeat business

Whether you’re adding restoration to a pressure-washing business or improving an existing staining service, you’ll gain practical knowledge to bring back to your work.

Training That Comes with Continued Support

Registration includes lunch both days, a FREE Exterior Wood Restoration Manual, access to professional company documents and logos, Wizard of Wood support, and an invitation to the private Wizard Nation Facebook group.

You’ll leave with reference materials and connections to help as you put your training into practice.
